DEADLINES!!!
Here at the shop, we are getting extremely busy. With Magic less than 2 months away, there are non-stop deadlines. Brainstorming, designing, ordering, printing, discussing, planning, emailing, marketing, phoning, contacting, + much much more & then times it by 2 because we got 2 lines to design for: our 1)kids line & our 2)men's line. I know you feel me when I say there really aren't enough hours in the day!
Check this cool video that depicts how we all feel every now and then.

Alice in Wonderland
Here are some of the first photos from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland!!! It's going to be epic and with a scheduled release date in March of 2010 I can only image what he has in store for this classic. From the photos you can already see the direction Tim Burton is taking this film, his vision is amazing!!!
Look at all of the details in the background.
Said to be made in 3-D...did I say epic?
Alice will be played by Mia Wasikowska, she is pretty new to film.
What's a Tim Burton movie without Johnny Depp - he will be playing none other than the Mad Hatter.
The Queen of Hearts will be played by Tim Burton's wife, Helena Bonham Carter.
Tweedledee and Tweedledum, looks like they are computer generated.
Looks like a winner, unlike Tim Burton's rendintion of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (hated-it).
I can't wait for the official trailer so see what Cheshire Cat looks like!!!

Extra Baggage
This morning I walked to the coffee shop to grab some breakfast. On the way back to the shop I found two perfectly good luggage cases that were left on the street for grabs. (There was a sign sign on them that said, "Take this free luggage.")
The blue ones cool but I really like the black/gray one. It has a lot of clean and simple accents that make it look very vintage and classy. All the embellishments are still in tact and in great condition. Leathers not worn or cracked. I don't know why someone would get rid of something like this.
Dope. I hella came up.
God knows whats been in that luggage. :)

American Apparel: Everyday Sexy
In American Apparel's advertisements they have been known to use a lot of images some people may find provacative. Girls posing in sexual positions, wearing see-through tops exposing there breast. Even when modeling something essential as socks the photos look like soft-core pornograghy. They are also known for the type of models they use in these ads: I would say, your everyday average girl, not the usual hot ring-side girl or runway model, you would see in most clothing ads, but the slightly attractive women you'd see walking down the street. Turning them into dirty, hot, sweaty, sexual.... ok you get the point.
I came across this funny spoof of Dov Charney (founder and CEO of APP), while trying to research why one of my favorite picks in the market, APP stock has been tanking. Enjoy.

Haight-Ashbury Street Fair
Yesterday I had the day off and decided to check out the 32nd Haight-Ashbury Street Fair. The weather was perfect and I already knew it was gonna be bananas out there so I had to get there early. After 30 minutes of driving around we found parking but it was a good 5 blocks from the fair - but well worth it.
This was just the being of the fair and I was thinking "Damn, where's the nearest liquor store!"
There were a bunch of people and street vendors. All of the shops were having a sale too!!!
Hella funny, this booth was selling weed looking leis. What's Haight without weed?!?
I hated the bbq smoke blowing staright in my face on a hot day!!!
Drop dead gorgeous!!!
This block was strictly for the kids. Always down for the jumpers.
This booth was selling pictures of these glass plates the he took from an overhead projector. Interesting!!!
I wanted to check out what was the crowd all about, it was this band raging!!!
Sexy weird!?!
I was hoping a down ass chick was gonna show her boobs to these gay people, sorry no luck.
I hate cops...funny thing was the writing on this car's back window. If I was the cop I would have let them go for making me laugh!!!
This is the end of the fair - there was a mosh pit of ravers getting jiggy to electronic beats. Overall I had a good time, I had to say today was a good day!!!
